Make the Rescued From Rescue Shelters Your Favorite Pet!

Humans pity humans! Isn’t it strange that we pity our equals? The ones with hands to work; a mouth to express pain or joy; and minds to earn the living are pitied for being homeless. What about those 2.7 million animals which are killed just because they are homeless? Rescue shelters are filled to the brim with animals and do not have space to get shelter anymore. Why not make “the rescued”, your family member instead of buying a pet?

How can the rush of rescue shelters be decreased?

We all love pets! Don’t we? When they are brought home, everybody is like “aww my coochie poo! My cute little puppy! My best pup!” Why do these loving exclamations turn to “he is growing old! I cannot afford to take care of him anymore!”?

Most pet parents let their old pets loose intentionally. They fail to take responsibilities of an old pet which once loved them to their heart’s content. It isn’t fair! Is it? Do not let your furry little pals die in shelter homes. They deserve to be at their home, with you, their family.

When you are considering on having a pet as a new family member, make the rescued ones your priority. The rescue shelters work hard on rescuing the needy animals. They vaccinate them and take all the needed precautions like spaying and neutering if possible. There are many strays that still needs to be taken care of. Adopt one and let another homeless at least have the benefit of shelter if not a home.

Why do you need to adopt rather than shop?

According to the CFHS animal shelter statistics, 33% of cats and 16% of dogs are euthanized. Yes! Killed humanely! Isn’t it tormenting even to think about it? If you adopt a pet from such shelters, the euthanizing rates will decrease and you will get a friend for life. When you can get the same loyalty and love from the adopted one, why to buy? Say no to the pet shops and be a part of good deed of adoption from rescue shelters.

When one adopts a child, whole life of that child is changed positively. The same happens with our animals. Along with that child, your life also changes to a better one. Similarly, these rescued pets can rescue you from any grief or pain. Won’t you bring a combo of smile and happiness to the rescued animals?

So, wouldn’t you like to be a part of this great mission? Investigate about the shelters and choose the suitable. Change is in your hands. Let’s empty the rescue shelters and make home for our best friends!
